I’m doing everything right

You can do everything right and still have flare-ups and feel terrible. That’s a normal part of healing. Below a certain threshold of health, the body-mind won’t function predictably. Random symptom aggravations are expected.

When you look further you may see that some of your aggravations aren’t completely random. There’s often an underlying influence that may be so subtle that you can’t perceive it. Part of healing from chronic disease is learning to feel the more subtle layers of your inner world.

What if diseases aren’t meant to be controlled or beaten? What if “dis-eases” meant to be heard? How would that change your outlook and your approach?

Imagine what it would be like to stop fighting the war on diseases and start nurturing yourselves back to health. Your disease isn’t a foreign invader, it’s part of you. In part, it reflects the adaptations from a part of you that needed and currently needs a lot more support than it has received.

If you stop controlling and fighting, there will be a lot more space to learn to listen to your ‘dis-ease’ and hear the inner whispers from the wholeness that lies within you.
