Cultivate faith in your wholeness
There's a great difference between fighting back against your disease and keeping your faith that you will heal. People with chronic diseases often perceive that they have to fight in order to prevent the diseasefrom taking over their lives. That fighting attitude creates a division where you act as though the disease is something that's happening to you. It seems like a foreign entity that's invading you but that hasn't been my experience.
In my view, disease is something that emerges from your life experience. When you're fighting against it, you're actually fighting yourself. It’s more effective to work at loving yourself, accepting yourself as you are, and nurturing yourself back to wholeness.
Aligning with your wholeness requires a tremendous effort and commitment. There's often confusion because people perceived working hard means fighting to beat the disease. But if you work hard against the disease, it doesn't have nearly the same impact as if you work hard to hold yourself in your faith that you can come back to wholeness.
You may not feel safe enough yet to believe that beneath all your pain, there could be ease. Dis-ease can create a lot of fear that further separates people from the inward path of healing. I’ve found that in addition to whatever medical care is well indicated, inner healing work is essential for accessing radical healing.
