Personal responsibility for your well-being goes far beyond what you eat and how you care for your body. It’s your way of being.

There are so many ways to take more personal responsibility for your wellness. Check out this list to see if you want to try working on any of these suggestions. Before you begin, please know that nobody is doing all of these things perfectly. We’re all works in progress, learning to heal and grow. Please be kind to yourself as you read this list.

Are you feeling the truth about how you are doing throughout your day? · Are you giving within your capacity to your spouse, your children, and at work?

Are you being honest with yourself about how you feel in your relationships, including your relationship with yourself?

How do you communicate at home and at work about your unmet needs?

How are you handling the stress of people around you at home and at work? Are you absorbing other people’s problems as your own?

Can you ask for help and support when you need it? · How do you navigate conflict? · Do you stand up for what you believe in? · Do you know how to maintain healthy boundaries in your relationships? Do you know how to say “no” without feeling guilty? · How do you manage your worry/anxiety? How do your ground yourself?

Do you make time to be alone? Do you take time to hear your own thoughts, walk alone, write in a journal, take a bath, or do something artistic?

Do you trust your felt sense of what’s right for you? · Do you notice self-judgment or criticism and redirect towards kindness?

Are you connected to what fulfills and nourishes you in your life?
