Love Note to My Body
This poem inspires and humbles me. It reminds me how to be in right relationship with my body. We need to be grateful for our bodies which is often not the case. It’s so easy to feel inconvenienced with the body doesn’t support our mind’s plan.
I’m particularly moved by the line, “for every time you recovered when I pushed you beyond our limits”. There’s a lot of wisdom in the line. It acknowledges that the body often bears the brunt of our overdoing and overloaded life. I love the choice of word, “our”, for “our limits”. This phrasing speaks to an inner relationship with ourselves where we feel the we.
